SPANISH

The Spanish classes at Escuela Virtual el Platanal have a decolonial and communicative approach. We start from the idea that you learn by speaking, writing, listening, and writing. We speak Spanish from around the world, especially Spanish with a Colombian accent. If the student needs it, classes can focus on preparing for the DELE or SIELE exam.

Spanish as a second language

For Spanish classes, we mainly use the NOS VEMOS HOY textbook published by Difusión. For international exam preparation, we use the official SIELE or DELE preparation textbooks.

Thanks to my experience teaching Spanish, I have seen my students make progress thanks to the communicative approach of the classes. Grammar plays an important role, but it is not the main focus.
